Elements of Distance Education Video

This is my video that I placed on YouTube as required for the Elements of Distance Education class at Walden University. The topic of the video is Asynchronous Versus Synchronous Interactions.

  1. You video is great. Very creative how you placed multiple presenters within your presentation. As I viewed and listened to your research, I knew that their was a difference between asynchronous vs synchronous learning but not to that great extent. I feel that the individual should choose with educational setting is best for them, even in high school. Schools should take into consideration the learning styles of the students and focus on their needs first.
As you completed this research, do you feel that more educational setting will add more online learning opportunities, especially since the internet is almost within every house hold world-wide?

Once again great job on this presentation

  2. Your video was very good. Your background music did not overlap your audio. Your video was well spoken and the pictures were clear. You put different presenters in your presentation that blended in very smoothly and in order allowing a good flow. Your explanation between asynchronous and synchronous learning was well explained and easy to digest and take in.

  6. Hi Anne,
Sorry about calling you Annette. I felt that I should repost my comment to make amends for this mistake. Your presentation was very informative and professional. The content was not overbaering and did not take over the video and the transition from presentation to video clips was amazing. I have one question, how did you get the clips from the videos to blend with your presentation? I tried and couldn't. Great job!

  7. Great video!! Very professional looking. I like to video clips. How did you get the pages from the studies to flip on the page. My only suggestion would be to refer back to the speaker at the end of the presentation to let us know he is coming up next.

  8. Thanks to all who have left comments about my final presentation. I appreciate all your kind and generous words.

To Ametha: I think the name 'Annette' is lovely . . . no apologies necessary! As for your question about video clips: the video editing program that I used allowed for simple dissolves between images.

To Cassandra: I agree, to refer back to the keynote speaker would be ideal. The rubric, however, required that the presentation conclude with a thought-provoking question. (I would rather have taken your suggestion.)

  10. Anne!! Great job on your video presentation! I know you did not use windows movie maker for your presentation so which program did you use? I enjoyed the embedded videos from the personal at Auburn University who is in charge of their production department for visual and online educational material. Professional video pack with informative information - great job!
