Why does it seem so difficult to differentiate between three basic theories of learning? Why do the names of theorists appear connected to more than one theory? Why do the terms and strategies of each theory overlap(Mergel, 1998)? For me the question is when am I using one of the three theories.

I found that behaviorism, cognitivism and constructivism are all intertwined. They are all useful in developing an instructional design for lessons in every classroom.
