Module 4 Online Strategies

As required for Module 4, you may access my graphic organizer and following discussion about online strategies used to enhance learning on my personal wiki page at

http://annetshaw.wikispaces.com/

Click "Online Strategies" on the menu on the left side of the wiki page. Please, comments are always appreciated.

Additionally, I have shot my interviews that I plan to insert into the final video as required for module 4. They actually turned out rather good, if I do say so myself!

  1. First of all I want to say your graphic organizer presented the information wonderfully. Each strategy was broken down and well explained. As we move through our educational program, do you feel that the collaborative strategies of blogging and wikis are helpful, especially in a group setting?

  2. Thank you for your kind words, Likisha. I truly appreciate the encouragement. I believe that blogs and wikis can certainly assist learners in feeling confident about their work and progress in a class. You have provided witness to this fact by your comment to my post. I also feel that online collaborative efforts can help students improve by challenging them to attain higher-order skills in an effort to achieve a positive response from fellow classmates and the instructor. That said, I don't know if I have learned to use them as effectively as possible. After all, as a novice to this craft I am still on the bottom end of the learning curve. One way I hope to achieve some simblance of proviciency is I have now established a blog for my own students to respond. I think that by teaching a technique I will become better at it myself.
